Bun, Ham, Gabbers, Pookie
Santa put light sabers in the three oldest boys stockings. What was he thinking?!
Gabbers got a My Little Pony in her stocking.
Hammy finds the rest of the loot Christmas morning.
Every Christmas Eve after our traditional Christmas Eve dinner of ham, scalloped potatoes, homemade dinner rolls, and asparagus, with something red and sparkly, we read from the New Testament in the Book of Luke about Christ's birth. The children dress up and act out the nativity.
Last year, we were going to have turkey. That didn't work out. This year we decided that our new traditional Christmas Eve dinner will be roast beef. It's way cheaper than ham and everyone likes it.
Well, we did make the roast beef. Potatoes didn't happen. Or Yorkshire pudding. Neither did rolls. But I did make a pot of rice and steam a bag of green beans with almonds in a butter garlic sauce. When dinner was over, two kids were passed out.
