Making sight words light up

I got a cool new nightlight today from the Home Depot.  They donated $1 to Autism Speaks with the purchase of this nightlight.

Now I have a neat place to hang the sight-word of the week for my kindergarten-aged twins.

*I am not being reimbursed in anyway from Home Depot or Autism Speaks for this post.  But I do like that Home Depot offers a military discount and also provides a free project for kids the first Saturday of every month.  I also support what Autism Speaks stands for especially having children and nephews on the spectrum.

When life hands you "Delay Fish"

Have you ever tried to rush a 3 or a 4 year old?  What about one 3 year old and two 4 year olds?  No?

They are like "Dorie" on Finding Nemo.

They are delay fish.

I very much love these little delay fish.  They are a good reminder to stop and smell the flowers, draw pictures in the condensation, play with the crafts we find while decluttering and packing, and read The Busy Car Book (5 times).
