You came to live with me three years ago, maybe it was longer. I despised you at first and hid your ugliness under a band-aid. I was sure if you noticed my distaste for you, you would surely pack up your bags and go. But you didn't. You stayed. You expanded your living space. I had to borrow Danny's short sleeve shirts to hide your hideousness because his sleeves were longer than my sleeves. You reared your ugly head when I went swimming in the summer of 2006. But I didn't mind too much. It took the pressure off of my unsightly-three-kids-post-partum-thighs.
In honor of our time together and our pending separation, I write you a limerick.
Ugh-a-bump, you took over my arm.No longer yours,
Your nastiness caused great alarm.
So I said to my doc,
"What is up with this spot?"
He said, "It won't cause any harm."
But you grew and you started to itch,
and sometimes you caused me to twitch
when I'd think you were scary
I was glad you weren't hairy
'cause Ew! that just isn't my niche.
And now it is time for goodbyes.
You won't find a tear in my eyes.
You'll be evicted tomorrow,
instead of great sorrow,
I'll be dreaming of summer's blue skies.

Adios! I've got one of those that bugs the heck out of me...gets scraped off and bleeds, itches, etc. Right where my Purse strap rests on my shoulder, Drives me Crazy!
You are SO creative! Love it!
heehee... LOVE the limerick! Glad the ugh-a-bump is going away!
Ah, there's nothing like a good limerick. :)
excellent limerick, but eh?
I've so many weirdo things removed over the past few years even I can't believe it. This whole getting older thing it's so wonderful.
Farewell unloved ugh-a-bump. Hope it doesn't leave a ugh-a-scar.
