It's hot. We're homeless. and humbled.

We are currently residing in TLF (Temporary Lodging Facility) at our new base until we buy a home. We are tired of realtors playing games with us (not ours but theirs). We just want to buy a house and get on with our lives. It's stinking hot here by the way. Well, except when the wind blows. But seeing as how we just came from the wind blowing during less than zero degrees Fahrenheit, to the wind blowing at like 65 degrees plus, it's okay. And refreshing during pregnancy.

We are also tired of the dial-up internet and the TLF. Last week the maintenance people came around to install high-speed internet hookups. They aren't working yet and don't expect to be until 2-4 weeks. Somehow the installation of the high-speed equipment caused the dial-up to go even slower or not work at all. I feel INSANELY deprived not being able to blog.

Next week on the 7th I have an OB appointment. I'm hoping for an ultrasound, but I kind of doubt he'll do one on my first appointment here. Still crossing my fingers that there's at least one girl in utero.

By the way, I'm updating at the library. And if you should think it's a good idea to send your Danny with your Pookie and Ham at naptime to the library, think again. They won't hesitate for a minute when your Ham squeaks too loud and runs into the managers office with Pookie on his tail to stop him. Nope they won't hesitate at all to toss you out on your rear. Then you might find yourself wandering the grassy area for an hour and ten minutes until your ride returns from the commissary.

P.S. I love California Roll sushi. Danny prohibited me from buying it anymore because of the cost. So a few days ago I made it for the first time. It was DE-LISH.

Hi I just stumbled across your blog & the article written in 2007, about an anti-procrastination day. I laughed out loud at some of the comments, being very much able to relate to all of them.

I don't know the circumstances behind your not being in your own home but I will keep you & your beautiful family in my prayers. God Bless you all. :)

I hope and pray you can get into a home soon. That has got to be so frustrating. It sounds like that library needs to take a chill pill. I can't believe they kicked Danny and the kids out!!! Freak.

So you made it!! Did you want to live off base, or is there no houses? Unfortunatley its a hard area: either far from base, not-so-good, or expensive. I pray you find something soon!! And that you enjoy it. Hopefully you get an ultrasound!! We're all waiting for the results!

You made it! Sorry about the current situation though. That must be tough with little ones....and dial up!!!
You'd think in this market they would jump right on ANY buyer. Geesh.

Glad you made it there safely! Hopefully, you will find your dream home, or one close to it, soon and it will all be over!! At least you are out of the snow!

I guess this means that the latest house opportunity fell through...sorry, but maybe something better is on the horizon! We are all praying for you. We hope you are able to have the ultrasound, too - we are also anxious to know of baby genders! Much Love from us all!

Wait, where are you guys now? I don't remember you having orders. Well either way being out of the zero degree weather is refreshing, I don't miss the weather one bit, but I do miss Minot... Is that possible? :)
