About a dozen times I year I find the need to send a flat rate envelope or a flat rate box through the United States Postal Service. When I was selling ducky towels (which you'd have to beg me and bribe me and potty-train my two-year old nowadays for an order because I am seriously sleep-deprived with a Baby Ham who thinks I'm an all-you-can-nurse buffet) I had a stack of flat rate boxes and an envelope of flat rate stamps ready. That way I could address it, stick the pre-paid stamp on the box, leave it on my doorstep by the mailbox, and send it ASAP. No begging hubby to leave work early to drop it off and have to stand in line to pay postage, and no hauling four energetic kids down to the post office myself. No unnecessary use of the beloved gasoline. No wasting precious time that could be used blogging. The priority mail boxes are free. If I find myself at the post office for any reason (like buying a money order to send to Smockity Frocks for an adorable apron) I just pick up a stack of flattened boxes, a few flat rate priority mail envelopes, buy a book of stamps for bills and letters to my grandma, and buy a dozen flat rate stamps too. I am all about efficiency and preparedness. This definitely works for me!

Wow, you almost gave me a heart attack thinking that I was on the wrong day again! (Missed a Dr. app't last week because I didn't know what day it was.)
Happy Wednesday Early!

Great idea. My husband would love this idea because it would save him from going to the post office all the time, too.
When my daughter was away at college those flat rate boxes really came in handy but I was never smart enough to buy the stamps in advance. Thanks for the great tip...
Two tips today? You're on a roll! Didn't know you could buy flatrate stamps. We've always printed postage via Paypal--offers very cheap (like 15 cents?) delivery confirmation.
Great advice!
I have a letterbalance too. It comes in very handy.
And I know how many papers can get in an envelope for a certain rate.
I've been chairman for a long time and saved a lot of time with this.
have a great day!
Great idea! Those post office lines can be brutal if you have to do it too often. This saves so many trips!
