Works for Me Wednesday--Pocket Bibsters

Pampers Pocket Bibsters solve snacktime messes in the van for us. We have tried laying out a napkin or paper towel on our children's laps with snacks on it-- only to be dumped when they move slightly or we take a turn. We have tried coffee filters (bought specifically for this purpose since we don't drink coffee) and even little bowls. A few months ago I received a coupon in the mail from Pampers for their disposable bibs. I didn't even realize there were a couple different sizes and that some of the Bibsters don't have pockets. But I happened to get the pocket ones in the large size.
Well, just recently I stuck the box of bibsters in the van for when we might go out to eat. One day when the paper towel roll ran out, we discovered it was so easy to fill the little pocket with snacks like raisins, pretzels, cheese, and crackers. They don't have to hold on to the bib like they would a bowl because it's attached. The kids are thrilled to be able to reach their snacks without accidentally dumping them all over. We just fill them up before driving away and they are content. It even works smoothly with my 19-month old. So, Pampers Pocket Bibsters gets two thumbs up because they definitely work for me!

Cool idea. We've used it a few times too.

Another idea that works good is a little sippy cup that has handles with no lid (for snacks). For some reason my kids can hold the handles on a sippy cup, but can't seem to keep their grip on a bowl.

Happy Wednesday!

Connie-
haha! I thought that last week (or maybe it was the week before).

Laughing Mommy-

Great tip. Makes sense with the little handles that they can get their little hands around.

Such a GREAT idea - much more kid friendly and better than bowls in the car.

My tip is about brushing hair without screaming kids.

I like this tip!

We use non-disposible vinyl/cloth pocket bigs, the kind that unsnap flat for easy wiping-off. My MIL got them for me and I love them - use'em every day. They catch so much, and save me from LOTS of sweeping!

peace of Christ to you,
Jessica

great idea, I don't have little ones any more, but picked up some disposable bibs for the church nursery when I saw them reduced in a store somewhere. Don't think they had pocketso n though, that's cool.

This is such a great idea! We use these bibs when we go out to eat, but I never thought about actually putting the snacks in them.
Thanks!!

Darn, I wish they would have had these when my kids were toddlers. They are a bit too old for this now, think. But its a great tip!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I like your idea for using Disney as a potty training incentive.
