Bun birthday Haiku
Happy Birthday Bun!
You bring such joy to our home
And fill our hearts too.
Bun has been hanging out in his birthday suit today and a cloth diaper. He's been his happy usual self even though he's cutting his sixth tooth. Today in the bath (after his messy lunch and cake), he said, "Get it!" while pointing to a duck.
The cake. Ah, the cake. One beautiful box of Cinnamon Swirl cake mix, 1 cup mayonnaise, 1 cup skim milk. The cake was a disaster. It tasted really good-- but far too sweet to put frosting on. It crumbled and cracked when I tried to transfer it from the pan. I'll post a picture later. Pookie ate a quarter of it by himself. Bun had a big helping. G found it most fun to smear all over her hair. Danny reminisced about an ugly cake from a scout fundraiser years ago. But Danny ate it and said it was good.
