But before I go, I want to leave you a couple links I read this week that have me and Danny chuckling just thinking about them still.
The first is from Fluffy Chicky.
The second is from Laurie at Nothing is as constant as change.
The last is sad, but funny from That Girl at Pensievity. Don't forget to give me a name suggestion for Baby A for a chance to win the beaded holiday socks. I'll have Danny help me get a picture of all three pairs up here soon. See you Monday!

When my nephew Luke turned six we went to his pirate-themed party. It was a hoot, but his parents did some amazingly smart things. Might have taken a little work, but I think it was totally worth it.
1) they moved all the furniture from the living room (ALL of it) into the garage for the day.
2) they turned their kitchen table so it would block the entrance to the kitchen
3) they planned games to take up the entire time, and only about 10 minutes per game, so that just about the time kids started getting bored, they could move right to the next activity.
4) they had cake and ice cream mere seconds before the end of the party so that the worst of the sugar highs would be felt at home, not at the party.
I know they were exhausted at the end, but there were only 2 minor injuries and 1 minorly hurt feelings, but also plenty of love and laughter, so I'd say it was a very successful birthday party!
(sorry for the unwarranted advice novel.)
Lisa-
I'm so glad I checked in! I LOVE those tips. Seeing as the entire party will be inside due to rain, this will help tremendously. SO SMART. And I need to get to work on a few more game ideas. :P
