It's hot. We're homeless. and humbled.

We are currently residing in TLF (Temporary Lodging Facility) at our new base until we buy a home. We are tired of realtors playing games with us (not ours but theirs). We just want to buy a house and get on with our lives. It's stinking hot here by the way. Well, except when the wind blows. But seeing as how we just came from the wind blowing during less than zero degrees Fahrenheit, to the wind blowing at like 65 degrees plus, it's okay. And refreshing during pregnancy.

We are also tired of the dial-up internet and the TLF. Last week the maintenance people came around to install high-speed internet hookups. They aren't working yet and don't expect to be until 2-4 weeks. Somehow the installation of the high-speed equipment caused the dial-up to go even slower or not work at all. I feel INSANELY deprived not being able to blog.

Next week on the 7th I have an OB appointment. I'm hoping for an ultrasound, but I kind of doubt he'll do one on my first appointment here. Still crossing my fingers that there's at least one girl in utero.

By the way, I'm updating at the library. And if you should think it's a good idea to send your Danny with your Pookie and Ham at naptime to the library, think again. They won't hesitate for a minute when your Ham squeaks too loud and runs into the managers office with Pookie on his tail to stop him. Nope they won't hesitate at all to toss you out on your rear. Then you might find yourself wandering the grassy area for an hour and ten minutes until your ride returns from the commissary.

P.S. I love California Roll sushi. Danny prohibited me from buying it anymore because of the cost. So a few days ago I made it for the first time. It was DE-LISH.

On the road again . . .

Well a week and a half flew by fast. We are loading the van now and driving away today to California. I didn't get to see several people I wanted to. Sorry Shanna, JoAnn, Marcy, Jenny. :( I also didn't get to have my ultrasound because their new machine didn't arrive in time. So we'll have to wait until I get a new OB near our new place.

By the way, we got a MASSIVE van and traded in our minivan just yesterday. I haven't had more than half a mile driving practice on it yet. Danny gave me the option of driving the little blue car or the van to CA. Normally I pick driving the van-- because I'm so round now that I feel like the little blue car gives birth to me every time I try to get out of it. And I'm not quite comfortable just fitting in front of the steering wheel. But the newly acquired van is a 12-passenger Chevy Express. It was a good deal- but has no CD player or tape player. I suppose we'll be singing primary songs and camp songs until I'm hoarse.

I'm not really sure how long it will be before I can post again. Until then, best wishes.

The Proper Care and Feeding of your Gremlin

I have a 22 1/2-month old Gremlin. Sometimes he is cute and smiley and quite cuddly. Other times I am reminded that he is almost two.

Yesterday, before heading over to Danny's parents house to visit, I thought it would be very time-efficient to shower with my Gremlin. He needed a shower and so did I. After much ear-piercing shrieking that little Gremlin pooped on my foot.

Lesson #1
Never shower with your Gremlin.

Happy Valley & Happy Birthday to Mom!

I'm here in Happy Valley. My dad drove the whole way while I snored. Hammie turns into a Gremlin after midnight if you're on the road driving. Just so you know. And remember, NEVER feed him after midnight. You might just get beamed in the head with a beef jerky or a sippy cup.

I bought some new maternity clothes. I'm looking quite round.

We're completely over being sick. I am experiencing seasonal allergies. They have seasons here in Utah. And being that it's almost Easter, the lilies are out in force at every store. It's best to stay home and send out orders for your Cadbury mini eggs.

My old doctor is still here in this town. And he's agreed to give me a no-charge ultrasound so we can see if the twins are boys or girls. That should be next week. I can't wait. Leave your vote on my poll.

Today is my mom's birthday. Pookie was excited to tell everyone we came in contact with while out today how old my mom is turning. haha She's out right now picking up her car from the repair place and shopping. So I am going to go bake a couple pumpkin rolls for her birthday dinner. I *heart* Libby's Pumpkin roll. They are so yummy and so easy.
