WFMW-- www.Starfall.com
Pookie asks everyday to use the computer. The majority of the time I tell him, “Yes, but you can play the reading game (verses Playhouse Disney or something similar)." Starfall.com is a free site with lots of fun games to help children learn to read. Monday night Pookie read to me, “Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr. Seuss. Sure it took him about half an hour, but considering he just turned five in January and isn’t even in Kindergarten, I think he did a great job. I have seen his self-esteem flourish with his knowledge of knowing he can read. And Gabbers loves that he can read to her.

We love starfall too!
I'm bookmarking that site. Not ready for it yet, but should be in a few years.
Thanks for the reminder! I knew about Starfall, but have a horrible memory, so I forget about it when the kids want to play on "Mommy's computer."
thanks for stopping by my site, and I love your idea for games on the computer. We are about to head on vacation to the in-laws, and playing games on the computer is a great pasttime.
Starfall is in our favorites too. Kami loves her "ABC games" while mommy is putting the baby down for a nap or cooking dinner.
Thats awesome that he could read that to you.
Sorry for the above deletion and thank you so much for stopping by my site.
My sister has told me repeatedly about starfall and I have yet to check it out. I never let my kids on the puter...I guess I need to break down and do it since there are so many recommendations to do so. thanks!
We love Starfall too!
We love it too! The ABC phonics song with all the hand motions on Starfall is a great bathtime activity to keep the learning going at different times of the day. Works for us anyway!
I bookmarked this a few days ago when another blog mentioned it...I love it! :)
I've never heard of this link before. Thanks for sharing. I've bookmarked it. :)
Yeah! I can't wait to show my kids! Looks easy enough for my 3-year-old too! Thanks so much for sharing!!!
Thanks for stopping by my site. We just went to the website and my little girl was excited by the pictures alone. Looks like it will be enjoyed at our house. Thanks for sharing!
Good to know! My daughter is not quite ready for reading, but I will definitely keep this in mind for when she gets there.
Thanks for sharing!
