The innocence of Pookie

Today I was reading the Friend magazine (February 2007 edition) to Pookie and G before their naptime snack. At the start of one of the stories it quotes part of the fifth Article of Faith:

A man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority (Articles of Faith 1:5).

Well, I thought that Pookie knew all thirteen of his articles of faith (with a little prompting in a few). When I started reciting this one, he chimed in with me:

"We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of pants . . ."

I stopped and had to stifle my snort and looked at him and said, "What did you say?" thinking that maybe he was making a joke. But he was very serious and recited it again, the exact same way.

Too cute! I love to hear their versions. Kami has gotten upset a number of times if her tummy got pushed on because she thought Jesus would get squished out. lol

At least you know he's getting it, and what a better way to remember than to know that there was once a funny antecdote to go with it.
