I have fond memories of my mom waking early the day before Thanksgiving and cleaning the oven. I don't think she realized she was passing on this wonderful tradition as she was doing it, but I am so thankful she did.
Now as a mother and homemaker, I try to do the same before Thanksgiving, or within a few days before-- usually before all the baking starts.
I know that at least once a year it gets cleaned. ;) What Thanksgiving traditions do you carry on from your childhood?
