I realize today has been one year since I got my Danny home safe from Afghanistan. I love him more and more everyday. And everyday I wake up next to him, I am grateful he is there.
I am also grateful he's there when I'm nursing a baby in the night and he goes and soothes a preschooler with a nightmare. Or cleans up his puke all over the bathroom floor.
