Knock-knock. Who's there? Reality.

I was just reading a post about diaper bags that are especially good for when you have more than one in diapers and the intro told of the mother with four kids five and under!  I was like, "Holy crap!  That poor woman must be TIRED."

And then I was like, "Um ... self?  Your youngest four are UNDER five.  and psst!  you're due at the end of the year."

And then I thought, I better finish up the potty training with my Gremlin so I won't have to have four in diapers at one time.

I'm feeling all sorts of validated for being tired in the mornings.  By December I will have seven kids eight and under.

After I finish cleaning the house (because I'm expecting my in-laws this evening), I'm going to write a list of all the things I want in the freezer in the next 10 weeks.  Because knowing my history, the third trimester can be unpredictable.  Of course I'll update you with the freezer recipes I use and any handy tips I have up my sleeve.

The thought of having that many children under the age of four makes me die a little inside. YIPES!! :) Good luck to you, lady!

Oh, and I want more freezer recipes! My kids love the breakfast burritos and the french toast recipes I stole off of your blog last year. Mmmm...burritos...

oh yeah that reality hits me all the time! and I believe in you. If anyone can have 7 kids 8 & under its you. I'm still trying to catch up, but I don't think Jase would approve another baby anytime soon. So I think you've trumped me.

Nikki-

Thank you so much for the link back love and sharing my twin series with your readers.

Once a week I give a twin tip or twin advice and then once a month myself and four other moms of multiples tackle one topic and give our pointers and tips on that one topic... this week it is diaper bags!

You can check out the entire series here: http://www.crystalandcomp.com/search/label/so%20you%27re%20having%20twins

Your family is beautiful! I am an underachiever... I only have five kids. All boys. 11 yrs to 15 months. Twins in the mix. They are 4 and take me on a wild ride every single day. (Yesterday they hid all the towels that were in the linen closet.

Thanks again!

I've been loving using my new freezer. We like to freeze whole pizzas, cookie dough in prepped balls *freeze first on tray, then divide into bags of 12, and casseroles. For my casseroles, I get a dish big enough to feed my family and line it with a big piece of aluminum foil. I make a double or triple batch of dinner and cook one that night, then put the rest in my prepped pan. I freeze it, then when solid, I pop it out of the pan and wrap it in a little more foil. Come baking time, all you have to do is put it back in the pan and cook it up. No pans stuck in the freezer for months. I also try to add plenty of veggies to my casseroles... like shepherd's pie with grated carrots, onions, and peas along with the standard green beans. Then I can serve my casserole as a whole meal... cuz the whole point of freezing a meal is to not have to cook!

Look at the bright side - at one time, my mom had 5 kids under 7 and her dad living with her, who was also in diapers.

I don't know how you do it. I am a bit nervous expecting my third, and my oldest will be seven when she arrives. You are AMAZING! I can't wait for your freezer meals. I've started making some so life will be easier when the baby does come.

What a blessing to have so many children! I am so excited to be having my 3rd just before my oldest's 4th birthday! I hope I will be blessed with many sweet children like you are.

I'm so excited Nikki. This is my favorite part. The HOW-TO's. This is where I need the help. PRIOR PLANNING, that's what my dear father calls it. I'm working on it pops.
