and to SERVE one another"

Our family scripture for 2010 is from the Book of Mormon book Mosiah chapter 4 verse 15,

"But ye will teach them to walk in the ways of truth and soberness; ye will teach them to love one another and to serve one another."

I have a new found bloggy-friend, Julie.  Right now she's doing a month-long project of serving others.  I've thought about it a lot since reading her inital post on it.  Go read about it here.  Give her some ideas here.  Maybe start your own goal.  If you do start your own month of service, I'd like to read about it.  So leave a link.  I sound a little bossy, eh?

Great link! Gotta tell you this funny story, though...

when I was a kid, probably about 2 years old, my parents wanted us to memorize a scripture. Mosiah 4:14--And ye will not suffer your children that they go hungry, or naked; neither will ye suffer that they transgress the laws of God, and fight and quarrel one with another, and serve the devil, who is the master of sin, or who is the evil spirit which hath been spoken of by our fathers, he being an enemy to all righteousness.

Since I was so little, I only mastered one phrase, which I would shout at the top of my lungs. "Serve the Devil!"

LOL Lisa! That's hilarious! I would not be the least bit surprised if that were the one phrase my Hammy picked up. So funny. I've got to tell Danny.
