A case of mistaken identity

I'm a wee bit traumatized. For the last hour I thought I was holding Baby A. I was holding Baby B. What kind of mother am I if I can't tell my babies apart?

There you are! I wondered where you'd gone! Still waiting on part 5. :) I hope you and babies are doing well!

You're the kind of mother who just had twins...is it sad that I can admit the same mistake and mine were boy/girl? It happens to us all, particularly during the sleep-deprivation times. :) Good luck and I hope that all is going as well as it can be. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of the story!

I blame the baby for trying to trick you. I'm sure twins do this all the time. Must of had a really stinky diaper and wanted to blame it on his brother. Watch out for them to do this over and over durning their life. I remember the wadley twins trick me like that all the time, and they are not identical. :)

Good to hear from you! We've all been worried. You are an awesome mother, just on overload for the time. Just love those kids.

You are a normal mother. I get my kids mixed up all the time...and one is an 8 year old boy and the other is a almost 5 year old girl!

The fact that you finally realized the error is amazing, so it negates the horror. :-). I had a boss with twin girls - very very identical - and for the first several months they had to paint a single toenail on one twin's foot just to tell them apart!!! It happens to all parents of multiples, I do believe...

And I'm so glad to see a post from you! Good to know you are still here! :-)

I still mix my twins up and they are no where close to being identical.

Perfectly normal. Nothing to worry about. Or, at least, that's what I tell myself.

ha ha ha ha ha ha! That is too funny. Maybe even now you're wrong. What if for the rest of your life you've mixed them up?

OH no!

ha ha ha...ok that's horrible of me. sorry.

Just tattoo their names on their foreheads and then you will never mix them up :)

I mess that up all the time with my kids. And I have a 3 year old boy and a 1 year old girl.

I like the idea of painting the toenail so you don't mix them up...but then their boys, so maybe you can sharpie their toenail. HAHAHAHHAHHAHA I still can't call my kids by their proper names...I used to think mom was crazy, but on I am embracing the crazy!

We accidentally put our twins on the wrong sides of the crib when they were still newborns. We treated our baby A as if he was baby B and vice versa. We couldn't console them until we realized the mistake! It gets easier, I promise!

You're a great mommy! I just combine the kid's names into one long one, so they know to all come running/crawling/rolling. So the toe nail idea is great, but for boys how about a sharpie to the foot...like how Bishop Fifield writes on all the babies feet :-) I hope all is well and your sanity is still in tact!!

I mix up my three all the time and they aren't twins. What is my excuse? So glad to hear from you! I am also waiting for part 5. Good luck and make sure you are resting when you can.
