Half a dozen things you probably don't need to know.

These happened in the past few weeks. If this doesn't turn your stomach and make you look away (from my blog), come back on Friday as I'll have a new look, and renewed commitment to blogging. ;)

1. Was so desperate while grocery shopping that I opened a package of snacks (that I hadn't purchased yet) for Hammy so he'd stop screaming.

2. Pinned a note to Pookie's coat that said, "I have a book, homework, and Bailey's stuff (classroom bear) in my bag," so that he'd remember to take them out and not miss recess- again.

3. Opened a letter from the downtown library demanding we give them the books back or give up our first born son.

4. said, "If you don't stop crying I'll give you something to cry about."

5. missed Parent-teacher conferences

6. asked someone else to shovel our driveway- well, had Danny ask someone else- cuz I'm chicken (and Danny had to call long distance from Colorado to do it)

and make that 7. wrote a bunch of fragments and blogged them.

Well, I agree with #1, Hammy is deserving of a keep me quiet, feed me, reward. Your choice of #2 shows a loving mother whose effort is to please her child so he won't be penalized from recess. I think #3 is a conspiracy by the local library to extort more library fines, well, the economy is down. #4 is wisdom gone awry (sp). Well, #5, why submit yourself to some verbal abuse from a person who probably doesn"t know what it's like to have children 24/7. #6, this my be a program of beautifying the driveway program by your husband's employer, go figure. You have a nice day, and welcome back to the world of healthy blogging, don't forget the snapshots.

love to hear that other people say" I'll give you something to cry about!!" hee hee just kidding I RARELY say that. And yes i must admit, that this last weekend I opened up a binky set, because My SCREAMING baby needed one desperately adn everyone around me was giving me "bad mommy" looks. But I can't wait to hear more stories that happen in your crazy life.

Ahh, the life of a mom with little kids. And don't worry, I have used #4 once or twice in my parenting days. Keep up the good work!

I do #1 all the time--I felt a little weird the first time, but now I just do it in stride! Good to hear from you again!

I hate "bad mommy" looks from strangers. I think we've all used #4 at least once...

I do #1 all the time as well. Although, I always feel the need to talk so that nearby people can hear me say to the kids, "Ok, now make sure we don't lose the wrappers because we need to pay for these." haha! Thankfully i's at the grocery store we go to all the time and I'm known by 90% of the employees. lol That eases the discomfort.

YOU said #4? :O (hee hee)

Hey I have one thing I do need to know... Give me your new address so I can send you a Christmas card. Send it to my e-mail tjhazelbaker@yahoo.com.

Oh and I love that you had Danny call someone to shovel your driveway.

I think there have been quite a few of us who have fallen of the wagon when it comes to blogging but I am so glad you are back because now I can laugh again! Just so you know I end up with three things opened by the time we get to check out. One for each kid!

I love reading your posts! You totally crack me up! I have definitely done #1 more then once! Do I feel bad or guilty or care what others around me think...NO, those who have kids understand, those who don't...hopefully someday will understand. I know I am going to pay for it and it will probably end up opened in the car ride home or as soon as we get home so why not open it there at the store and have a more pleasant shopping trip? I too have used #4 on occasion...it happens more then I care to say but when your 6 year old whines about EVERYTHING it tends to drive ya crazy! I occasionally have #3 happen, but lately is has been from the school librarian! Oops...I tend to forget to send his book with him on library day! Maybe I should pin a note to me! hehe :) I used to pin a note to CJ's backpack when there was something in his backpack for his teacher and full well knowing he'd forget. BTW, how are things going??

We all have these moments. Did you get your walk shoveled? I probably would've had Travis ask for me too! Oh the joys of mommyhood.
