Pookieville Update and a PRIZE!

Alright! I'll blog. Sometimes I get in a blogging rut and don't feel like I have anything worth blogging. Then time passes and I realize that my next post better be pretty darn funny. And if it's not, well then I better have some cute pictures of my kids. Then I start to feel guilty because I've been tagged four times. (at least that I know of) Then I start to wonder if I've lost my four faithful readers.

So, if you're still with me, here's an update.

1. Pookie's reading on a 3.5 to 4th grade level.

2. His teacher thinks he has Aspergers.

3. We've gone through 4 jars of peanut butter since school started.

4. I lost 5 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks. :)

5. I'm thinking about dusting off the treadmill and bringing it in the house.

6. I'm NOT pregnant, Jenny.

7. This morning it was 32 degrees.

8. I don't walk Pookie in to his class in the mornings anymore.

9. Bun's Halloween shirt scares him and so he can't have it in his room at night.

10. Pookie's Halloween shirt was such a distraction that his teacher called and had me bring him a less-exciting one.

11. Gabbers was so upset she had a THIRTY minute tantrum because I wouldn't let her wear ALL her Halloween clothes together. Seriously, they did NOT match.

12. I've taken the kids to library story time downtown the last two Wednesdays.

13. I let them play with Play-Doh three days in a row. That's a big step for me.

14. I've beaded two dozen pairs of socks.

15. I've mulled over prices for the socks, shipping, and an official website.

16. I'm giving away one pair of socks. They will be Halloween Fun (opaque orange and black tri-beads, and transparent lime and purple tri-beads) design. The winner can pick from the following sizes:

0-6 month size (will be single beaded for this size)

6-18 months

18-36 months

shoe size (small) 6 - 2 1/2

shoe size (medium) 10 1/2-4

shoe size (large) 3-10

I feel the same about keeping posts up to date. I always have tons of cute pics, I just don't always want to take the time to resize them for the web. I get most blog ideas from reading others blogs. Oh enter me for some socks, We love them. I have learned once how to make them but with out practicing I have since forgotten. Size 18-36mo.

Well, I'm in! Your good mail is finally on it's way too! Look for it early next week :)

Good for you on losing the 5 lbs!

32 degrees? I think we've been getting down to 75 or 80 in the mornings. The kids make me turn off the airconditioning on the way to school. It's too cold.

Ahh, the frozen North is beginning to freeze again. Big Morty e-mailed me (jokingly) to see if I'd be game for an assignment in Cold Lake, Canada approximately 200 miles from anywhere. NO THANKS!!
I know a few people who have kids with aspergers so if you want some contacts let me know.
Way to go on loosing 5lbs,
and at least this one of your 4 loyal readers will always be loyal :)

So what do these Halloween shirts look like?? When Pookie gave his talk in Primary Travis was really impressed with his reading. I love reading your blog, even if I don't comment. Either I don't have time or don't have anything to say.

Wow! 32 degrees already? How quickly you forget the extent of Pookieville weather when you leave.

Good job with losing 5 lbs! I had lost like 10 in June and put 1/2 of it back:-( I guess I need to do it again and keep at it instead of returning to my ice cream....

Whether you have exciting things to blog about or not, I enjoy hearing about your life....

By the way, you don't need to put me in the drawing for socks. I have no use for beaded socks:-( Maybe someday, but not now.

ha ha! it is great to hear about the land of pookeyville again! Wow you have had a busy couple of weeks, no wonder you haven't posted lately. I feel the same way that you do when I haven't posted in a while...I try to write something clever or funny. But it normally is just something lame like "hey, there are no boogers on my shirt today...but the day is still young"

Glad to see a post again! And so excited about the contest - Emily would love it if I won her a size MEDIUM pair of beaded socks for her tootsies.

Love me forever, actually.

That would mean so much, really, it would.

If I win, that is.

Hint hint. :-)

BTW - did you finally set a price and get a website?

Yay for updates! You don't have to be funny, we're happy to read anything you post. :-)

And if I happen to win those socks, I know a mom who will be having a baby girl later this month. So they wouldn't go to waste.

I'm going to need to see a picture of this shirt, it sounds awesome. I would love to know what kind of t-shirt disturbs class to that extent.

Congrats on the 5 lbs.

You're certainly the busy mom, aren't you? I understand how you feel about Play-Doh. I still have 12 unopened containers that I purchased almost a year ago thinking I would be cool like the nursery leaders. Yeah...I'm not that cool.

We love peanut butter in our home as well. Woo hoo!!!
