Accent Chameleon

This is the first time I've EVER put a video directly on my blog. I was really impressed by her many accents. Funny side note: I used to work at a handful of different call centers. One call center was doing phone surveys when I was 18, one was a call center for Compaq computers in the customer service department when I was 21, and another call center was for a MasterCard company when I was about 24-25. Whenever I received a call from someone with a noticeable accent, and by noticeable I mean anyone that sounds different than me, I automatically and accidentally picked it up. I tried not to, but the more I tried, the stronger it got. So I learned to just go with it and just hope they didn't think I was mocking them. Anyways, here's the clip. Enjoy! Wish I could be so talented.

I try so hard not to copy someone's accent, too! My husband is bad. I always cringe when he is ordering Chinese food!

I work with a bunch of southern transplants and working with them 40 hours a week causes me to come home twanging like I've been raised in the bayou. The problem is, I don't even realize that I am doing it until my husband glares at me and says "Knock it off, will you? You are from Southern IDAHO not Louisiana!"

The only accent I am good at is a good ND one, now. I hear a twang from the kids every now and then and it makes me sad.

She is very talented but let me just say that her Californian was actually her worst, just saying dude. She must have been doing a North Californian.
