You can recognize me as the lump on the couch under the yellow blanket.

Today my friend dropped by unannounced with some maternity clothes (I was so thankful I had showered by then). I asked her how cold it was out. She said, "Negative 17 with windchill." I said, "Oh. Not so bad then." And then I was shocked with myself that negative 17 seemed not so bad anymore. There used to be a point that I wouldn't take the children out by myself if it were below zero. But I gladly sent all three of them off with Danny today to rent a video from the Shoppette while I wasted a good hour playing an addictive hexagon-game on the XBOX and eating my children’s Pepperidge Farm Goldfish. What has become of me?

And yes, I am aware that I haven’t posted your Saturday OAMC tips and recipes. All I can think about is ice cream. You can freeze ice cream you know. And if you add banana slices to vanilla with chocolate swirl ice cream, it tastes kinda like a sundae.

I'm not much of an ice cream eater, but that does sound good! I like being a lump on the couch under the blanket. SO COZY! :o)

I do not envy your position--it has warmed to a comfortable 40 degrees here in SLC, and I love it! I walked around for a few days last week without a sweater, jacket, or anything and I thought "I am so glad I'm not in Minot". Good luck until spring!

Ah, Nikki, the small comforts we can find when pregnant should be enjoyed to their very fullest extent! Though I must say that I have mixed feelings about knowing that I will never be going through that experience myself...
