It's a girl!

Our family of five is now six. Yesterday, August 12, 2006, we adopted sweet little June at 9 weeks old. She’s definitely a towhead and has captivating dark greenish-gray eyes. June currently weighs 17 pounds. She loves to sleep, chew on everything, chase leaves and dandelions, and of course chase Pookie, G, and Bun. Yesterday Pookie told her, “Junie, I’m your new big brother Pookie.” Pookie was a little concerned for June being lonely and having separation anxiety because we couldn’t adopt her brother too at the pet shop. Pookie also wanted to name her, “Fairy Dust,” because that’s what color she is.

June is a purebred yellow Labrador. Stay tuned for pictures this week. We’re still trying to get pictures of her not sleeping.

Oh my goodness! You will LOVE having a lab. They are great family dogs. We have a yellow lab as well. HOWEVER, give them lots of attention and chew toys...they chew anything and everything! Ours especially likes wood and plastic. Go figure...
